Nueva Esperanza -Guatemala

17.00

Nueva Esperanza is named for the milling station nestled in the hills just outside of antigua. In years past, this regional blend has been processed and marketed as individual lots; however, producers were delighted to find that their coffees scored higher when blended together. After many days of processing and cupping at the mill, chief operator (and close friend), Josué Morales, carefully selected the lots that best complimented each other. His efforts have successfully resulted in a balanced and mildly acidic cup with strong aromatics of baking spice. In our house cupping, we found the coffee surprisingly easy to drink as we were reminded of berry jams and pumpkin. Nueva Esperanza’s smooth, sipping chocolate-like body, makes this coffee an incredible compliment to these changing seasons!
